What: The Art of Eclipse
When: May 2, 2013 – 6:30-9:30 PM
Where: Eclipse Recording Studios, 4425 US Hwy 1 South – Suite 107 St Augustine, Fl 32086
The second event of the “Art of Eclipse” series will feature the art of Linda M. Brandt and will be held on May 2, 2013 from 6:30-9:30pm. She will have a variety of her works available for showing and sale, including canvases, prints and books. Annette Danielson of the St Augustine Community School of the Arts will be providing the musical backdrop again on the studio’s Steinway. Zan Llaneza of the A. Chefs Cooking School in Ponte Vedra will create the hors d’oeuvres, as he did in March.
Jim Stafford, owner of Eclipse, has been friends with Linda for over 10 years. They first met while working on a CD by Sandy Marie. Impressed by her art, and moved by her life story, it was only natural for him to choose Linda to take part in “The Art of Eclipse”.
Linda M. Brandt’s art has been shown world-wide, from New York to California and London to Paris, where three pieces were represented in the Louvre. She has been commissioned to paint portraits for many well-known people including the late President Ronald Reagan, past Ohio Governor Voinovich and Senators. She recently created two pieces for St Augustine’s 450 Commemoration Mosaic.
For the “Art of Eclipse” show, she will be bringing some newly released works using her hand-made paints and her “gestural expression technique”, popular floras, palm trees and her popular “Gator Time”. “Gator Time” was used as the cover for Rob Peck’s CD, “Urban Legend”, only one of many CD designs she’s done.

Written by Linda M. Brandt!
-
She now quietly writes and produces art in her St. Augustine studio, embracing life as the world’s only recorded brain tumor survivor (of its’ nature and seriousness). In 2004, nearly 25% of her brain had to be removed. It took nearly three years to learn to paint again, along with the resuming of just normal daily activities (like walking, driving, etc.). Her life story was featured on the History Channel’s Biography series and there is a full length feature film currently in the works.
Linda has written and illustrated several books, now published by Innovo Publishing. “Henry’s Life as a Tulip Bulb” (3rd Edition) was released January 2013. “My Jonah Journey: Developing an Attitude of Gratitude” (her autobiography) is scheduled to be released the Spring of 2013.
It is with great enthusiasm that Linda is unveiling her art at Eclipse Recording Studios. Just like the Eclipse logo, depicting Ying and Yang and colors that compliment, so does the art of Linda M. Brandt. The Eclipse show opens Thursday, May 2nd. For more information, go to these websites: Eclipse Recording Studios; Henry the Tulip Bulb and Yessy
Yes, 2013 is a celebration for both Eclipse Recording Studio and Linda M. Brandt!
